Congress Majority PAC spending $120,000 on a unique anti-Trump ad buy in two House races in Florida holding special elections April 1st

LOS ANGELES, March 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Congress Majority PAC is now running some strongly worded vote Democrat video ads in deep-red districts in Florida that are holding special elections for two House seats on April 1st. One ad says, “Trump’s extremism is reckless, and his tariffs will cause inflation and recession. Don’t send another Yes man to Washington.” Another ad begins playfully “Wanna play an April Fool’s Day joke on Trump?” but turns darker: “It’s time to put the brakes on this reckless, extremist President who’s dangerous for our country. If you voted for Trump, just this once, on April 1st, vote Democrat.”

“That ad speaks to many Republicans now feeling voters’ remorse,” says Patrick Reynolds, who founded CMPAC. “Last week Republicans became concerned when a race for State Senate in Pennsylvania was won by a Democrat. It was a deep red district that Trump carried by 15 points. That’s a bad sign for Republicans.”

Reynolds is a grandson of the tobacco company founder, RJ Reynolds, but became a well known anti-smoking advocate after speaking out publicly in Congress against Big Tobacco in 1986.

Since he started Congress Majority PAC, Reynolds has raised over $1.1 million from over 17,000 donors. “We now have a top team in place for strategy, fundraising, compliance, and legal,” Reynolds says. “Our focus will be on fundraising and building a war chest for 2026. Wait till you see the ads we develop for the mid-terms!”
