PLANO, Texas (May 20, 2025) – Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) today announced an executive change designed to drive continued growth, advance its commitment to vehicle electrification and prepare for the future of mobility. The following change is effective June 2.
Promotion
Dawn Pittman Collins, current assistant general counsel, TL1, will be promoted to group vice president, chief compliance and ethics officer, TMNA. She will succeed Jacqueline Thomas who will retire effective July 18, as previously announced. Pittman Collins will report to Ted Ogawa, president, chief executive officer, TMNA.
Pittman Collins will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership over internal audit, compliance and ethics, regulatory compliance and customs/trade compliance. She will also serve as an advisor to the TMNA Audit Committee and the Risk Committee.
As assistant general counsel, TL1, Collins managed multiple teams and resolved numerous litigation claims, mitigating risk and protecting the Toyota and Lexus brands, and advised on various safety, mobility and partnership/joint venture projects, as well as new business projects.
