SHANGHAI (CHINA), 3 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Ford subsidiary for design, construction and investment in emerging mobility services, Ford Smart Mobility, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Zotye Auto for the creation in China of a ‘joint venture’ to offer smart and personalized solutions “for electric vehicles to fleet operators and drivers, in which each company will invest 10 million dollars (about 8.32 million euros).

As the company explains in a statement, the new company will work “closely” with the Zotye-Ford manufacturing joint venture, which will produce a range of all-electric vehicles for Chinese consumers under a new brand.

“As people and cities around the world increasingly adopt new mobility services, we must also work together to ensure that these services address key issues such as accessibility and air quality rather than increasing them,” has assured the executive vice president and president of Mobility of Ford Motor Company, Marcy Klevorn.

“This agreement underscores the strength of the relationship between Zotye and Ford, and we hope to work even closer in the future,” said Zotye Auto managing director Ying Jianren.
