“Saving Summer”—the second installment of the “Real Rivian Adventures” campaign— was inspired by Sean, an R1T owner, who happened to be at the right place, at the right time, with the right truck. The Rivian R1T has 11,000 lbs of towing capacity, which Sean used to rescue an ice cream truck stuck in the sand on a hot summer beach day—much to the delight of Sean’s son, Cooper, and all other ice cream lovers.Equipped with factory-installed front tow hooks and Rivian’s Off-Road Recovery Kit (sold separately*), Sean secured the ice cream truck and toggled to Soft Sand Mode—a drive mode made for moments like this, optimized for low-traction environments. Features like these make the R1T and R1S ready for adventure and able to save the day on any terrain.
