First global meeting for Antonio Filosa in his new role of star of Stellantis. He did it from Turin, at the spaces of the Huritage Hub in Mirafiori. And he added: “We will prepare for the future. We have already started to review our long -term strategic plan, which we will share when we are ready. And there is also another priority, do all this with intensity and joy”.
Antonio Filosa, then wanted to conclude with a clear message: “Let’s take a pact today, together: we no longer use the ex-Fca and ex-psa diction, we are Stellantis”.
And shortly before the world meeting, meeting about 300 workers from various sectors of the Turin factory, he made lunch with them based on pizza and puff pastry (he is of Neapolitan origin) and he said to them: “I am one of you: in Mirafiori it is where I was born from a professional point of view and from where my career started. You must be proud: I know what you do, the efforts you do and the problems you face. Investments in Turin and Italy in recent years have been concrete and I am convinced that together we will do it “.
From the 500 hybrid he expects to “be able to quadruple the volumes”. And in the Future Strategic Plan recalls “a fundamental element on Mirafiori, the new generation of 500 from 2030”.
The reactions of the Uniononon were waiting for the reactions from the union world. “We appreciate that Filosa returned to the bodywork of Mirafiori to demonstrate, with the second visit within a few weeks, that the plant is at the center of the group’s industrial project,” says Luigi Paone, Uilm Turin general secretary. “We hope – he continues – that the intention declared by the company to produce in Turin the new range of the 500 concretizes as soon as possible in new models for Mirafiori, in addition to the 500 hybrid that will start in the autumn”. “In this context – he concludes – we will have to begin to talk about new hires in Mirafiori, with the aim of giving a certain future to this factory and the Turin area”.
