Frankfurt am Main – IG Metall and the works councils of Thyssenkrupp AG call for an early integration of participation, perspectives for people and a future for business when converting the group. Operating terminations must be excluded.
Jürgen Kerner, second chairman of IG Metall, said on the occasion of a future conference of the works councils in the group: “The employees know that a lot has to change if it should be good again. They are ready to engage in the path of change. But you need security in change and a clear perspective for your future. And you expect more respect from your performance, before your chosen representatives and before your special culture Company.
Tekin Nasikkol, chairman of the group works council, emphasized: “Thyssenkrupp does not suffer from his products or too much participation, but from too many failed strategies. The workforce must not be the victims, while others are drawn from the company. When it comes to about that, we are clearly sorted: We expect people to be properly and fair when converting. We are demanding social responsibility and we have now discussed how the reconciliation is to be discussed.
According to the announcement of a radical group of corporations by the company management, around 180 works councils from the 130 German Thyssenkrupp locations at the headquarters in Essen came together for a future conference on Monday. The aim of the conference was to discuss the current challenges of the corporate areas and the group and to meet a joint procedure.
The background of the meeting was also the current basic agreement, which expires at the end of the financial year in September. This regulation, which is still agreed under Martina Merz, contains, among other things, the extensive exclusion of operational terminations for the approximately 52,000 employees in Germany. It also regulated dealing with sales and co -determination bodies in the group. The works councils also call for the continuation of this proven practice for the announced restructuring.
