Electrified vehicles achieve 27,207 sales in June

The electrified market is one in five vehicle sales in June, with 19.3% of the total

Touring sales total 20.8% of the market in the month, with more than 11,000 pure electric sales

With 42% of the market, conventional hybrids are consolidated as the favorite purchase option

Madrid, July 1, 2025.- Sales of electrified vehicles (electric and plug-in hybrids, comprising cars, quadricycles, commercial and industrial vehicles and buses) are still on the rise and achieve a remarkable increase of 133.3% in June, with 27,207 units, which accounts for 19.31% of the total market. With this figure it is exceeded the previous month, beating the historical sales record again in a month. In the accumulated of the year, a total of 111,200 sales, 83.1% more than in 2024 and with 15.4% of the market have been added.

As for alternative vehicles enrollments (electrified, hybrid and gas), 53.7% increase in the month, with 80,294 units sold and represent 53.73% of the market. In the total of the year, they accumulate 397,495 sales, 47.1% more than the previous year and with 55% of the global market.

Electric vehicles – zero label

Sales of pure electric vehicles increased by 107.9% in June, with 12,295 units registered. It represents 9.17% of the market share in the month. In the whole year, the sales of these vehicles total 52,511 units, 78.5% more than in the same period of the previous year. The accumulated of the year quota is 7.27%

Plugable hybrid vehicles – zero label

Sales of plug -in hybrid vehicles grew by 162.2% during June and reach 14,282 units registered. It represents 10.14% of the market share of the month. In the whole of the year, the sales of these vehicles total 58,689 units, 87.3% more than in the same period of the previous year. The quota of the accumulated of the year is 8.13%.

Hybrid vehicles – Eco Tag

Sales of non -plug -in hybrid vehicles increase 23.7% in June, and reach 46,748 units enrolled in this month. It represents 33.18% of the market share in June. In the accumulated of the year, the sales of these vehicles accumulate 254,604 units, 32% more than in the same period of the previous year. The quota of the total of the year is 35.25%.

GAS – ECO LABEL VEHICLES

Sales of gas vehicles grew by 128.5% in June with 6,338 units registered representing 4.5% of the market share in the month. In the whole of the year, the sales of these vehicles accumulate 31,690 units, 32% more than in the same period of the previous year. The quota of the accumulated of the year is 4.39%.

Touring market

The registrations of electrified, hybrid and gas cars increase their sales in June 52.5% compared to the same month of the previous year, until 77,641 units delivered. In June, with 65.2% of the total market, these types of vehicles are the first purchase options. In the total of the year, 47.4% grow with 387,277 units sold and 63.51% of the total market.  

As for the electrified tourism market, in June they exceed the records of the previous month, marking the month with the highest volume of electrified sales. Specifically, 24,776 units have been sold, increasing 130.7%, to reach 20.8% of the total market of the month, more than 10 percentage points than the same month of 2024. Pure electric (BEV) grow 103.2% to 11,243 units in the month, just like plug -in hybrids (PHEV) that increase their sales by 130.7% and 13.533 units. In the total of the year, sales of electrified cars total 102,348 units, 83.1% more than the previous year and 16.78% of the general market.

José López-Tafall, general director of ANFAC Indico “The electrified market maintains its good run. As last month, June exceeds 20,000 sales of electrified cars, of which more than 11,000 are pure electricity, assuming one in five sales in the month. In what we have been for the year, the quota already touches 17% market. A more than favorable situation for electrification”.

López-Tafall has pointed out that “although, they are all outstanding data, the electrified market in Spain needs to accelerate even more. Compared to Europe, we are still below the average that is in 24%. The market is on the right track, but we cannot trust ourselves. It is necessary The aid to the purchase, enhance the public access recharge network and give greater visibility to the road signaling are parts of a positive message for the citizen.

In this sense, he added that “it is not only a market issue but also a matter of industry. Spain must send a clear message that it is committed to the electrified vehicle because if it is, we will attract more investment, new projects and remain at the forefront as an automotive industry.”
