Located Amongst Prominent Tech Companies in the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center, Novva Tahoe Reno Becomes the Company’s Fourth Completed Facility
WEST JORDAN, Utah, July 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Novva Data Centers, a state-of-the-art data center company providing purpose-built data center facilities, announces the launch of its 300,000 square foot, 60 MW data center in Storey County, Nevada. The 20-acre campus, called Novva Tahoe Reno, is located next to other major tech firms in the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center (TRIC), one of the world’s largest industrial parks, located along I-80 just outside Reno.
Since acquiring the property in 2022, the launch of Novva Tahoe Reno becomes Novva’s fourth completed data center location alongside existing facilities in Colorado Springs, Colorado, West Jordan, Utah and North Las Vegas, Nevada. Four other Novva data centers in San Francisco, Mesa, Arizona, a second campus in North Las Vegas, and a second campus in Utah, are currently in development with over 1 Gigawatt of power, with much of the inventory arriving in 2028.
Novva prioritized sustainable design with its newest facility, which will seek local renewable energy credits, cool its servers with high-efficiency water-free and direct-to-chip cooling, and practice radiant cooling and heating in the offices. LED lighting with automatic off sensors, drought-resistant landscaping, locally sourced pre-cast exterior panels and limited export and import of soil are other ways the facility will live up to Novva’s rigorous energy efficiency standards.
“We’re excited to introduce our latest tech-forward facility, Novva Tahoe Reno, which embodies the core pillars our clients expect from Novva: cutting-edge innovation, robust security, sustainable design and exceptional amenities,” said Wes Swenson, founder and CEO of Novva Data Centers. “Storey County is an emerging technology hub with strategic proximity to major western cities, access to renewable energy, and compelling tax incentives — making it a prime location for our continued growth in the Western U.S.”
Novva Tahoe Reno’s features include:
- 54″ raised flooring and a total of six 10MW data halls, which each feature approximately 30,000 feet of column-less space to maximize available square footage for tenants.
- On-site 100MW substation will supply scalable power from NV Energy.
- A proprietary water-free cooling system featuring a recyclable polypropylene chilled water pipe to cut down on water demand from nearby Lake Tahoe and the Truckee River
- Robotic dog monitoring
- Direct-to-chip compatible cooling
- Perimeter security gates featuring 24/7 monitoring
- Tenant amenities: multiple meet-me rooms, offices, storage, breakrooms, an executive conference room, shower facilities, an arcade and beautiful scenery (including wild mustang viewings – free of charge)
- Low-latency connection to the San Francisco Bay Area (6 millisecond round trip)
- Novva’s proprietary energy delivery architecture, which is 100% concurrently maintainable, features distributed redundant power distribution and a software-controlled independent bus switch from transformer to lithium-ion uninterruptible power supply, as well as SCR-equipped diesel generators for each leg of power.
New capacity in Novva Tahoe Reno will be available in 2026. For more information or to request a tour, please contact 1-888-NOVVADC.
