New hospital will integrate critical care and inpatient medical rehabilitation services, expanding access to specialty hospital care in the region
BISMARCK, N.D. and MECHANICSBURG, Pa., July 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Vibra Healthcare, a national leader in specialty hospital care, has announced plans to relocate Vibra Hospital of the Central Dakotas from Mandan, North Dakota, to a new facility under development at 829 NE 43rd Ave. in Bismarck.
For years, Vibra Hospital of the Central Dakotas has operated on the second and third floors of a shared healthcare building at 1000 18th St. NW in Mandan. The upcoming move to a freestanding facility in Bismarck will provide a modern, healing environment for the hospital’s existing critical care services and create the space needed to launch an inpatient medical rehabilitation program.
The new facility is being developed by Development Solutions & Facilities, LLC, a healthcare-focused real estate development firm based in Birmingham, Alabama.
The hospital will house 20 long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) beds relocated from the current Mandan site, along with 30 inpatient medical rehabilitation beds. By combining critical care and acute rehabilitation under one roof, the new hospital will create a seamless path to recovery for individuals healing from serious illnesses, injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions.

Slated for completion in the coming year, the Bismarck hospital will feature private patient rooms, advanced therapy gyms and equipment, and specialized clinical spaces designed to meet the needs of medically complex patients.
Once the new hospital opens, Vibra Hospital of the Central Dakotas will transition its operations from Mandan to Bismarck, ensuring continuity of care while expanding capacity to serve more patients. The expansion is also expected to bring additional jobs to the region.
