B&H Event Space Returns to Live In-Person Workshops

B&H Photo Introduces Brand New Space for Workshops Aimed at Bringing Creatives Together through Community & Education

NEW YORK, July 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — B&H Event Space now offers a physical location and network for the photo, video and audio industry to learn and grow.

After five years of offering primarily online educational programming, the B&H Event Space returns to live in-person workshops in their brand-new on-site location.

While B&H Photo has been offering free workshops via their Event Space for the past decade, their recent move to a newly repurposed section on the first floor of the B&H superstore offers an exciting new chapter in their mission to build the creative community through education. Formerly housing the “Tech Corner”, the 800 square foot space occupies prime store real estate, sitting directly on the corner of 34th Street and 9th Ave, with panoramic views of the busy Hudson Yards locale.

Riding the success of their YouTube platform—which launched in 2022—the new Event Space will support a hybrid approach to educational content that pairs in-person workshops with the ability to offer pre-recorded and live-streamed events, as well, to reach a global audience. For Event Space manager Stephanie Gross, the vision remains heavily focused on the idea of community.

“In the creative world, community isn’t just support—it’s motivation and inspiration. Surrounding ourselves with fellow artists and visionaries creates a space where ideas evolve and inspiration is amplified. The Event Space is about more than just providing the tools for creatives to succeed, it’s about a return to fostering creativity through human connection. Whereas the virtual world is great for expanding reach, having a physical space for likeminded individuals in our industry to meet and build a local community is so important.”

The Event Space kicks off the opening of their new location on July 21, 2025 with a full week of events, ranging from in-store workshops to on-location photowalks at various spots around New York City. The official Opening Week Reception features special guest speaker Ira Block, a longtime Sony Artisan of Imagery and National Geographic photographer, who will be talking about the importance of photography in building community, with refreshments and networking to follow. This event is open to all and registration is free via the B&H Event Space website.
