Toyota Tsusho Corporation (“Toyota Tsusho”) announced today that two of its projects have been selected under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s FY2024 Supplementary Budget Subsidy Program for Global South Future-Oriented Co-Creation Initiatives (Small-Scale Demonstration / Feasibility Study Projects). The two are the “The Kingdom of Thailand: Feasibility Study on Environmentally Sustainable, Circular Smart Dairy Farming” and the “Republic of Côte d’Ivoire: Feasibility Study on Strengthening Water Supply in the Southwestern Region,” and were officially selected as of August 1, 2025.
1. The Kingdom of Thailand: Feasibility Study on Environmentally Sustainable, Circular Smart Dairy Farming
This project is a feasibility study on establishing a circular ecosystem that helps reduce environmental impact in Thailand’s livestock and dairy sectors. The study will cover the use of cattle manure for power generation and composting, as well as the introduction of functional feed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The goal is to improve the country’s production efficiency and raw milk self-sufficiency rate, ensure a stable supply of high-quality domestic raw milk, and reduce environmental impact.
2. Republic of Côte d’Ivoire: Feasibility Study on Strengthening Water Supply in the Southwestern Region
This project is a feasibility study on the development of a water supply system in Soubré and surrounding areas in the southwestern region of Côte d’Ivoire. The study will explore the construction of a water distribution network that draws from nearby rivers, with the goal of future project realization. It also aims to contribute to the national strategy carried out by the Ivorian government to improve water and sanitation infrastructure and support industrial development.
Based on the results of the feasibility studies, Toyota Tsusho will aim for future project realization while continuing to work to solve social and environmental issues through its businesses by meeting the needs of society and customers.
