Dolly Parton Announces Leadership Transition: Jeff Conyers to Serve as Business Liaison and Philanthropy Leader

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Dolly Parton today announced a leadership transition for her business and philanthropic ventures. After decades of service, Ted Miller will retire from his role as Dolly’s longtime business advisor at the end of 2025. Beginning January 1, 2026, Jeff Conyers will assume responsibilities as Dolly’s senior business representative for her philanthropic and Dollywood-related business interests.

Conyers will continue to serve as president and acting chair of The Dollywood Foundation, overseeing Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and other philanthropic initiatives in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada. In his expanded role, Conyers will also serve as Dolly’s point of contact and business liaison to Dollywood Parks & Resorts, Herschend Family Entertainment, and WCI/ZMC dinner theaters, representing her ownership interests and ensuring her vision and values remain central to the business strategy.

“I am deeply honored by Dolly’s trust and confidence,” said Conyers. “She is such an important part of our community and beloved across the world. I look forward to continuing to support her work, both in philanthropy and in her Dollywood-related businesses, and serving as a bridge between Dolly’s vision and the partners who help us make it a reality.”

Ted Miller, who has worked alongside Dolly for decades, expressed his confidence in Conyers as his successor. “After many years of working with Dolly, I can say without hesitation that Jeff is absolutely the right person to step into this role,” said Miller. “He understands her values, her vision and the importance of protecting and growing the legacy we’ve built together.”

Parton expressed her gratitude to Miller for his decades of service and confidence in Conyers as her new business representative. “Jeff has worked closely alongside Ted for years and has long been part of our efforts to build and protect what we’ve created together,” Parton said. “I know he will provide strong leadership in this important role.”

This transition marks a significant new chapter in Dolly Parton’s business and philanthropic legacy, underscoring her dedication to the children, families and communities of East Tennessee and beyond.
