This appointment aligns with the organization’s recent recognition as a Select Tier provider.
With more than a decade of experience, Shive brings a wealth of leadership and innovation to the Central Region. In his new role, he will oversee operations and the development of services for people with disabilities. Community Options supports 7,000 people nationwide, including 450 in Pennsylvania.

His recent work in York and Lancaster counties has already demonstrated his ability to lead with integrity and precision.
The timing of this appointment coincides with Community Options’ recognition as a Select Tier provider under Pennsylvania’s new performance-based contracting. This recognition is a testament to Community Options’ high standards in service delivery, regulatory compliance, and community engagement.
