Koenigsegg is happy to announce the appointment of Johan Ekdahl as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective November 3, 2025.
This appointment marks a pivotal step in Koenigsegg’s mission to accelerate growth, sharpen business focus, and ensure long-term financial strength.

Koenigsegg continues to execute on its growth strategy through the end of the decade. Recent investments in talent and infrastructure have positioned the company to scale production and complete the Jesko program with a final series of 30 Sadair’s Spear editions. Meanwhile, deliveries of the CC850 and Gemera models are underway to an enthusiastic global clientele.
Looking ahead, Koenigsegg is also building a strong pipeline of groundbreaking vehicles, designed to elevate its global presence while staying true to its reputation for innovation, performance, and exclusivity.
Johan is a highly experienced CFO and well-regarded finance executive within the automotive industry. Most recently, he served as CFO at Volvo Cars, where he spent over a decade in leadership roles. Prior to his time at Volvo, Johan spent 16 years as an authorized auditor. He holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Gothenburg University.
