These Cupids are helping national nonprofit Petco Love launch its annual Petco Love Stories campaign. Submissions are now open for adopters to share their heartwarming and inspiring “tails of love” about their adopted pet. Each love story entry gives the adoption organization a chance to earn a lifesaving investment up to $100,000 and inspires more people to adopt.

Comedian and viral sensation Robyn Schall brought laughter and love to Meow Parlour and the streets of New York City. Cupid Robyn’s mission: to inspire New Yorkers to share their love for their adopted pet. “Pet parents light up talking about their pet, but I also wanted to know who loves who more? Who snores louder? If their pet was on a dating app, what would their ‘about me’ profile say?” asked Schall. “What’s not to love?”

Emmy-nominated producer and rescue pet advocate Michael Levitt donned his best Cupid outfit in Los Angeles, D.C., and Provincetown, uncovering extraordinary connections between pets and their people. “Being Cupid was the most fun I’ve ever had embarrassing myself for the cause,” said Levitt. “If dressing up in wings and this outfit inspires more people to adopt pets, then hand me a bow and call me Cupid. I’ve experienced firsthand how adoption saves lives—both people and pets —and I’m honored to help this cause,” said Levitt.

Petco Love’s Chief of Staff René Moreno wore Cupid wings in Houston at the Petco Love Mega Adoption Event® and then in Chicago, stopping by Petco Love partner, Anderson Humane. “Let’s just say being Cupid isn’t part of my usual job description, but reminding people that adoption is lifechanging and the greatest love story of all definitely is,” said Moreno.

Earlier this year, Petco Love awarded $500,000 to 25 animal welfare partners, including a $100,000 grand prize. This year’s submissions — written in 500 words or less or shared via public-facing social media videos — are open until September 29th, 2025. Adopters ages 18+ (or with parental consent) can submit their story and photos/videos here.

Petco Love encourages all pet adopters to share their love story and show the world that adopted pets change our lives for the better.
