NIO (NYSE:NIO) just had its best month ever. The Chinese EV maker delivered 31,305 vehicles in August, up 55% from a year ago and nearly 50% higher than July. Shares ticked up more than 1% in premarket trading Monday.
The company isn’t slowing down. NIO is aiming to produce 15,000 ONVO L90s in the coming months and another 15,000 ES8s by December 2025. For the fourth quarter alone, it’s targeting 50,000 deliveries an aggressive goal that underscores its confidence in demand.
To support that growth, NIO is expanding its partnership with insurance tech platform Cheche Group. The two will work more closely on policy issuance, risk control, and claims to give EV owners a smoother experience. CEO Lei Zhang, who also chairs Cheche, said the tie-up should bring meaningful growth as deliveries scale in the coming quarters.
