OSG Staff Share Ways to Help Prepare Seniors for Life after Graduation
BRIDGEWATER, N.J., Sept. 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — OneSchool Global (OSG), a worldwide network of innovative schools with 36 campuses across North America, is launching the 2025 school year by surveying its staff for words of wisdom to share with their incoming seniors, aiming to help prepare them for life after graduation.
OSG puts a premium on creating “life-ready” learners who are prepared to jump into life and the workforce. They accomplish this through a self-directed learning philosophy, based on international research and best practice, that enables students to take ownership of their learning.
One of the highlights comes from Keely Dammann, a primary teacher at the Minneapolis campus of OneSchool Global. “Each student has unique skills, abilities, and interests — your talents, passions, and perspectives matter,” she shared. “The world does not need a million copies of the same person; it needs you.”
Other key tips from OSG staff include:
- Damien Jordan, Los Angeles, CA campus: “Life after graduation is all about managing your time and priorities without reminders or deadlines set by others. Practicing this now helps build the discipline and clarity needed for life and work readiness.”
- Nicole Majewski, Rochester, NY campus: “Focus on developing your skills and strengths so you become an invaluable member of the team. Whenever a challenging task comes up at work, step up and volunteer to take it on. Even if it feels a bit outside your comfort zone.”
- Keely Dammann, Minneapolis, MN campus: “Do not be afraid to fail. Mistakes are part of learning and growing. Be kind to yourself and to others. Your worth is not measured by grades or achievements, but by your character and how you treat those around you.”
- Brian Boutette, Edmonton, Canada campus: “Make your breaks work for you by planning them in strategically throughout the day. Once you complete a difficult or long task it is good to take a moment to reset.”
- Allison Galvano, Regional Support Office, Rochester, NY: “Prioritize balance as much as possible… the habits you establish in your teenage years are often maintained as you move into the adult years!”
Success at OneSchool Global begins with students taking the lead in their own development. Armed with tips and guidance like these—and supported by educators across the system—they’re starting the 2025 school year with the sky as the limit.
Welcome back all OneSchool Global students—and may this year be the best one yet!
