SALLY’S APIZZA LIGHTING UP DORCHESTER, MA AT SOUTH BAY CENTER

Opening Night Festivities are By Reservation on OpenTable

DORCHESTER, Mass., Sept. 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Sally’s Apizza, the legendary New Haven pizza restaurant established in 1938, is set to open its newest location at the South Bay Center in Dorchester (9 District Avenue, Boston, MA 02125) on Tuesday, September 30 at 5:00 pm. Reservations are required for Grand Opening Night Festivities.

“We’re thrilled to expand our footprint with the opening of our second Massachusetts restaurant here in Dorchester,” said Brand Advisor Christian Bonaventura. “The success of Sally’s in nearby Woburn has stoked a passionate flame in the Boston area, and we can’t wait to bring our unique brand of excitement, which includes nods to a number of famous former and current Dorchester residents, to more of our fans. We’ve got a really fun lineup of entertainment for our grand opening event!”

Sally’s pizzas are handmade and coal-fired, characterized by a thin charred crust, tangy tomato sauce and the light touch of mozz that the brand is famous for. Ten pizzas are on the menu including the classic Tomato Sauce Pie, Mozzarella & Tomato and Potato & Rosemary. A rotating selection of up-to-three additional seasonal pies will also always be available.

In addition to pizza, Sally’s offers an extended menu of appetizers, salads and entrees created by Chef Bret Lunsford. Guests can feast on a variety of starters like Italian Wings with Calabrian Chili; House-Made Meatballs served in whipped ricotta and a robust list of salads including a Caesar and a Classic Wedge. A selection of entrees is offered including Chicken Parmesan and pastas like Rigatoni Vodka and Tagliatelle Bolognese.

The restaurant features a robust beverage program with an expanded list of top-rated wines. Classic cocktails are on the menu, as well as featured signatures like Amalfi Lemonade and Sunday Sauced, a play on a Bloody Mary that uses Sally’s own tomato sauce. Draft beer, non-alcoholic options and fountain sodas, including New Haven original Foxon Park, round out the selection.

While designed for the modern customer, Sally’s Apizza in Dorchester evokes the familial spirit of the original Wooster Street location. The restaurant’s proprietary oven is easily recognized by its iconic signature pattern of red and white colored tile. The honey oak wood-paneled walls are lined with autographed memorabilia. Caramel-colored leather booths throughout the spacious and inviting 100+-seat dining room and 12-seat bar are ideal for guests to sit back and relax. A seasonal patio that seats 36 will open in the spring.
