The BVRLA Rental Committee has asked the association to broaden and tighten the operating standards that are reviewed as part of its inspection regime. The changes will take effect immediately.
The move forms part of a wider initiative to help deliver more value to members and derive better customer outcomes. Other changes include the launch of a new-look inspection report which makes it easier for members to review and address the points raised.
The AA, who are the BVRLA’s inspection partner carrying out the visits, will be looking into an increasing number of areas including Data Protection, Digital Customer Data Management, Staff Training and Complaints Management as part of a drive to promote continuous improvement. This will also help to satisfy the Competition and Markets Authority’s expectations.
