“This urgently needs to be reworked. What is on the table so far does not solve any of the existing structural problems. The proposal for mandatory private pension provision leads to a one-sided burden on employees. By sticking to the partial benefit system, the federal-state working group is imposing unnecessary prohibitions on thinking: real relief would be provided by citizens’ insurance, into which civil servants, politicians and higher earners also pay and which as Full insurance covers all care-related costs.”
