Now, unlike Salesforce and other AI software stocks, hardware and chip stocks only seem to keep growing. Alongside TSMC, the world’s largest chip manufacturer that reported a record profit of nearly $15 billion for Q3. You can see here that ASML, AMD, Nvidia and Broadcom are all set to open in the green as the world just can’t get enough chips to meet AI computing needs.

Broadcom just struck an infrastructure deal deal with Open AI that’s propping up the stock this morning.

Turning to electric vehicles now. Neo, the Chinese giant that’s been rising so far this year is hitting a major setback. Shares are down nearly 8% in pre-market today after losing sorry, nearly 7% in pre-market today after losing 13% in Hong Kong. The big takeaway here is that despite strong delivery growth and improved margins, Neo is exposed to political tensions combined with a lawsuit in Singapore that is eroding trust in the company.

Look at this. It’s up nearly two over 2,800% in one year. That’s not a typo. That’s not a typo. This looks like a bit of a meme stock. It’s popular on Reddit, and it seems to be driven by rising tensions between US and China over rare earths.

Another stock that’s seeing wild swings right now, also on US-China tensions is critical minerals. After an incredible ride this week, CRML fell 25% yesterd yesterday, but guess what? It’s up again, more than 7% in pre-market.

Finally, I want to mention Bitdeer. It was a massive winner yesterday, posting gains as high as 30% at one point. Now, up a little bit, just shy of 7/10 of 1%, as you can see there. Now, the company is riding the wave of artificial intelligence plus crypto tech.

And staying on AI, but on a very different company. Apple announced a new more powerful chip for its devices. My colleagues Dan Howley and Julie Hyman discussed what it means for the Cupertino giant and for our personal tech.
