MADRID, 9 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Carbures has signed a first contract with the industrial company Textron for the manufacture of three composite parts for a special vehicle used in airports. The Company thus opens a new market niche that allows it to further diversify its business model, its industrial capacity and continue to grow.

This contract consists of the manufacture, production and assembly of parts for specialized vehicles, although it leaves the “open door” for the program to be extended to other types of vehicles. The pieces will be manufactured by the infusion method of the composite fabric, to increase the final quality. In addition, the Carbures engineers will also be responsible for the design and manufacture of the molds of these parts.

The CEO of Carbures, Rafael Contreras, stressed that the company has been working for years for top clients thanks to its technology and experience in engineering work and manufacture of parts and structures for the aeronautics and automotive sectors. However, he pointed out that this contract “represents for Carbures a step forward in its technological-industrial capacity and the entry into a new market”, that of specialized vehicles.

The company has underlined that the importance of this first contract with Textron lies in the fact that a multi-sector giant, such as this company, has relied on Carbures as a supplier to undertake its strategic plan to reduce the weight of its vehicles, in order to optimize its performance and fuel consumption. In addition, he stressed that the contract has been awarded to Carbures for its ability to respond to technological and industrial needs through its own know-how and technological developments.

Textron has 35,000 employees, operates in 25 countries, has a market value of 13,400 million dollars and manufactures specialized vehicles for various sectors, such as aeronautics and naval. In addition, this multi-sector company is recognized by its brands, such as Bell, Cessna, Beechcraft, EZ-GO or Jacobsen.
