Lesjöfors Slovakia accelerates medical sector growth with major investment and ISO 13485 certification

Lesjöfors has strengthened its position in the medical manufacturing sector with another significant milestone, as its Slovakian facility secures ISO 13485:2016 medical certification and launches a major investment programme set to boost sales by 50%.

Healthy growth potential

The near million-euro investment will double production capacity and enhance output across several existing medical manufacturing process lines, positioning the Slovakian site for substantial future growth.

Marcela Valúšková, Managing Director of Lesjöfors Springs Slovakia says: “These achievements are a testament to the teamwork, expertise, and unwavering commitment to excellence shown by our entire Slovakian team.

The teams focus on quality and excellence has not only ensured that our facility meets the stringent medical industry requirements for component supply but has also strengthened our position in the healthcare sector. Unlocking new opportunities, the certification and recent investment, reinforces our site’s capabilities and commitment to serving the industry and, underlines Lesjöfors’ focus on supporting the needs of the medical market.”

Strengthening Lesjöfors’ European medical network

This latest achievement follows the successful certification of Lesjöfors’ Swedish site earlier this year, with another facility in Germany on track for certification in 2026.

Together, these developments highlight Lesjöfors’ strategic expansion of medically certified sites across Europe, underpinning the company’s long-term commitment to the medical sector
