DOVU becomes founding member of MOBI with major mobility leaders

Congratulations to portfolio company DOVU, which has been selected as one of the founding members of MOBI, the Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative.

The new consortium explores how blockchain will reinvent mobility and address industry shifts. MOBI will explore blockchain for use in a new digital mobility ecosystem that could make transportation safer, more affordable, and more widely accessible.

Being selected as a founding member of MOBI is an important milestone for DOVU.

It demonstrates that automakers and mobility actors are looking at the blockchain technology to improve their business models. These global firms realized that collaboration is the best and fastest way to accelerate progress.

Sachin Lulla, Vice President & Partner, IBM Automotive Industry Leader, explains: “A set of blockchain standards for the mobility industry will allow car, infrastructure and service providers to efficiently communicate and transact with each other”. A more open environment matches both the blockchain technology and DOVU’s vision.

DOVU becomes even better connected with the automotive and transportation industry. Building different use cases with industry leaders will prove from an early stage the benefits of its solutions and will boost new business models.

DOVU will increasingly be part of an articulated blockchain ecosystem, where different projects and experts such as IBM can provide solutions in complementary parts of the value chain, creating a virtuous cycle for all the actors involved.
