The largest automaker of the Detroit Big Three is bucking the battery-electric vehicle trend with two investments for internal combustion vehicle sheet metal stampings and transmissions. First and foremost, GM has committed $250 million to the Ohio-based Parma Metal Center to modernize and upgrade stamping equipment for next-gen models.
