OVIEDO, 18 Jan. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The University of Oviedo and Seat have signed a collaboration agreement, through the University of Oviedo Foundation, through which the Asturian academic institution has become part of the company’s doctoral program.
As a result of this agreement, SEAT will finance during the next three years the hiring of a PhD student who will carry out his thesis from the company’s Technical Center in Martorell, and who will follow the PhD program in Energy and Process Control of the University of Oviedo. The head of the agreement on the part of the University is Pablo Arboleya, professor of the Area of Electrical Engineering.
The objective of the doctoral student will be the development of mathematical models that give rise to tools for analysis and simulation of the electrical network on board in vehicles, so that, in the design phase, engineers can have information about voltages and currents in the different parts of the circuit, as well as a thermal estimation of the conductors. This information will save time in the design of the wiring and optimize it.
