Christiane Benner, first chairwoman of IG Metall, comments on the establishment of the pension commission:
“The pension commission set up today is faced with major tasks: to unite and be united where there is still a lot of contradiction and to present results quickly. For a pension system that is future-proof, fair to generations and distribution. Dismantling is the wrong approach, sensible reforms and stabilization are needed, in the interests of young and old alike.”
