Rather than Nissan, alliance partner Mitsubishi has been tasked with manufacturing the new Rogue Plug-In Hybrid three-row crossover and the redesigned Navara mid-size pickup truck. Part of the reason why Mitsubishi handles production boils down to Nissan’s financial situation, which forced the Japanese automaker to lean heavily into badge-engineered products.
