What else can you say about that? Augsburg wins at FC Bayern – the big surprise of this match day. One that, as expected, no one in our tipping community had on their list. In the remaining eight games, our team scored well almost all the time. The fact that almost everyone correctly predicted Stuttgart’s away win in Gladbach even makes us a little bit proud.
Actually, one could have trusted the foals, who had noticeably stabilized since Eugen Polanski took office, to do something in front of their home crowd. But our Opel Post tipsters assessed the situation like real experts: VfB is currently in top form and has never won more often in the Bundesliga than in Gladbach. The away threesome was almost set.
Except for Augsburg: everything is included
Even in the draw in the Hamburg city derby and in Frankfurt’s extremely painful home defeat against Hoffenheim – in the first game after the separation from Dino Toppmöller – at least the top tipsters on this 19th matchday were all right. The best of the many good ones was “Cedo”. He scored in all games except the Augsburg coup and always scored accurately. In the end that meant 22 points and the day’s victory. This is followed by “Piet89” and “Bembel2004” with 21 points each. Since “Bembel2004” is better placed in the overall ranking, he can be on the podium in second place.
And the overall ranking? “What do Struuunz allow?” The legendary exclamation of coach Giovanni Trapattoni still rings in the ears of football fans today. In our prediction game, “Struuunz” has now dethroned “Baque” – thanks to a whopping six point lead on this match day. The new leader is only ahead by a wafer-thin point, but “Baque” is now probably asking himself: “What does Struuunz allow?”
