MADRID, Jan. 19 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The automotive firm Mini has launched the fourth edition of Urban-X, an accelerator of ‘startups’ aimed at improving life in large cities, in which, every six months, the brand invests 100,000 dollars (more than 81,000 euros ) in up to ten companies, the company said in a statement.

Through its platform A / D / O design, based in New York (United States), Mini offers designers, architects, creatives and ‘startups’ a space of 2,000 square meters to create products that help meet the challenges specific sectors such as transport, real estate, governments or public services in cities.

Each selected startup is for 20 weeks immersed in the development of products and the creation of networks. The companies that work with Urban-X are in contact with engineers, mechanics, industrial and interface designers, as well as with clients and professionals with knowledge in sales, communication and marketing.

In this way, in addition to traveling to cities such as Munich or San Francisco, it is intended that new companies know customers, investors and potential partners.

The program is aimed at startups that have products or ideas that are focused on improving urban life. To participate in the fourth edition of Urban-X, companies can register until January 31.
