The company plans to have a network of 15 private car parks (with reserved spaces) inside the M-30

MADRID, May 22 (EUROPA PRESS) –

WiBLE, the new car sharing company of Kia and Repsol in Madrid, will start operating next month in and out of the central almond of the capital of Spain with a fleet of 500 units of the Kia Niro plug-in hybrid and a standard rate of 0.24 euros per minute.

Users, who can now register for free on the company’s website, will have three bases, located in Villaverde, Las Tablas and Pozuelo, where they can take and leave the shared-use cars and park their private vehicles.

Thus, WiBLE will allow the user to use any vehicle in its fleet parked either in the streets of Madrid or in the bases, in addition to reserving and opening it from the application previously installed in the ‘smartphone’.

The CEO of WiBLE, Javier Martínez Ríos, said, during the presentation of the image of the company in Madrid Auto 2018, that the car sharing service of Kia and Repsol seeks to go “beyond” to be a service for the city, so it focuses on people, how they move, what their needs are on a day-to-day basis and what their problems are.

Regarding the area of use, in addition to serving the central almond, the service will be operational in the north of Madrid to Mirasierra, Las Tablas and Sanchinarro, while east of the capital will cover the entire perimeter bordering Arturo Street Soria to Calle Alcalá and the neighborhoods of Concepción and Quintana. To the west, the entire perimeter of the University City.

In addition, it will be the first to cover Madrid’s periphery, approaching Getafe, Leganés, Villaverde, Pozuelo, Aravaca, Majadahonda and Las Tablas.

The Director of Operations of Kia Motors Europe, Emilio Herrera, stressed that this service responds to the need to “offer solutions and facilitate access to urban centers”, as European cities are increasingly “congested” and are being applied “important restrictions” on traffic.

“WiBLE is an alternative that adapts to all users, at very low prices and that favors the mobility of the population,” he added.

KIA NIH HYBRID PLUGGABLE: 600 KILOMETERS OF AUTONOMY.

The Kia Niro plug-in hybrid has more than 58 kilometers of electric autonomy and a total of 600 kilometers of autonomy thanks to its hybrid technology. It is also the only car from a car sharing company that has 5 Euro NCAP stars, according to Kia.

WiBI will be activated without key with start / stop button, and will have a support to use the ‘smartphone’ as a browser, as well as mobile phone chargers.

Vehicles can be parked anywhere within the territory of action at no cost. In addition, “aware of the difficulty of parking in the center of Madrid, and with the aim of saving users’ time,” according to Martínez Ríos, by the end of 2018 the company plans to have a network of 15 private car parks (with seats reserved) inside the M-30.

Repsol’s CEO Downtream, María Victoria Zingoni, stressed that the oil company is always looking for “innovative” initiatives that represent alternatives and add value to customers. “WiBLE responds to new trends in the transport sector,” he said.
