Volkswagen CEO Dr. Herbert Diess, 59, has been appointed new Chairman of the SEAT Board of Directors. In the framework of the Volkswagen Group’s new structure, which groups SEAT in the ‘Volume’ division of brands, the company’s controlling body has named Dr. Diess to succeed Dr. Francisco Javier García Sanz at the helm of the committee.
The SEAT Supervisory Board has also appointed Hiltrud Werner, 52, as a new member, replacing Dr. Karlheinz Blessing. Werner is the head of the Volkswagen AG Supervisory Board’s Legal Services and Integrity. The company’s other board members include Dr. Ingrun-Ulla Bartölke, Dr. Oliver Blume, Luca de Meo, Bernd Osterloh, Dr. Stefan Piëch, Josep Piqué and Mark Philipp Porsche. Luis Comas is the board’s secretary and legal advisor.
