MADRID, Jan. 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Japanese car company Mitsubishi has overcome the barrier of 100,000 units sold of the plug-in PHEV hybrid version of its Outlander model in the European market, since it was put on sale four years ago, the company said in a statement.

The company explained that the commercialization of this model was initially limited to a few European markets. The company reached 50,000 units sold of this model in the European region in November 2015.

Mitsubishi explained that the Outlander PHEV was the best-selling hybrid plug-in vehicle in Europe in 2015 and 2016 and noted that, despite the arrival of more competing models, it remained the best-selling vehicle in 2017 in the United Kingdom, Norway or Spain.

In Spain, the firm indicated that this plug-in hybrid all-wheel vehicle with four-wheel drive and 54 kilometers of electric range has a market share of 40% by type of motorization. In addition, he indicated that in 2017 it became the best-selling plug-in hybrid in the national market for the fourth consecutive year.
