Opel’s pre-agreement provides for wage freeze in 2018 and increases of 50% and 60% of the CPI for the following years

The pre-agreement signed on Monday by the management of Opel Spain and three of the five unions that make up the works council –UGT, CC.OO. and Acumagme– foresees salary freeze for 2018. Then, increases of 50 percent of the real CPI for 2019 and 2020 and of 60 percent for 2021 and 2022.

The variable premium (PAVI) will also be frozen, in this case during the first two years, and then it will have an increase of 50 and 40 percent of the real CPI. Likewise, the relief contract for those born in 1957 will be resumed.

According to the labor pre-agreement, which has been accessed by Europa Press, night and holiday bonuses are reduced by 5 percent and the plus of calendars is eliminated in 5 years, 20 percent each year. The break is reduced by five minutes, three minutes by sandwich and two by breaks from the launch of a new model on line 2, starting in November 2019. Although there will be an annual compensation from 2019 of 7.7 hours, equivalent to one day, positive balance for those workers who have breaks.

There are also 48 temporary workers in February and there is a commitment to relocate before June 30, up to date. The pre-agreement proposes to seek each year and in view of the legislation the best alternatives agreed for the rejuvenation of the staff of those born in 1958, 1959, 1960 and 1961.

The document improves the bonus of permanent disability supplement and the elimination of double payment in case of IT in the extra pay. As of September, it also registers the possibility of going from 15 to 18 shifts, the weekend calendar will be 0.25 in money plus one day and the lactation permit is extended one more day.
