Toyota, Suzuki and Mitsubishi, the only Japanese manufacturers that increased their production in August

Toyota, Suzuki and Mitsubishi closed August as the only Japanese manufacturers that experienced an increase in their global production volumes, unlike Subaru, Mazda, Nissan and Honda.

According to data from the different companies, Toyota finished the eighth month of the year with a global production volume of 857,256 units, which represents an increase of 4.5% compared to that month of the previous year.

On the other hand, the factories of the corporation chaired by Akio Toyoda produced a total of 6.9 million units between January and August, which translates into an increase of 0.8% compared to that period of the previous year.

The global number of vehicles produced by Nissan last month was 444,755 units, down 6.7%. The negative trend was maintained in the Japanese fiscal year (from April to August) with 2.23 million units and a decrease of 4.5%.

Honda ended August with a total of 418,574 units of automobiles produced worldwide, 3.6% less, while in the accumulated of the year assembled 3.5 million units, representing an increase of 5%.

The factories owned by Suzuki closed the eighth month of the course with 285,175 units manufactured, 7.8% more, and 2.3 million units assembled until August, 7.8% more, while Mazda cut 6.8% its monthly volume, with 109,892 units, but increased by 1.3% the accumulated, with 1.04 million units.

Mitsubishi increased its production rate by 5.6% in August, with 94,910 units, and 20.9% in the accumulated course, with 925,862 units, while Subaru manufactured 82,611 cars last month, down 1.4%, and 657,265 units between January and August, 7.8% less.
