Lyft Welcomes Two Executives to Focus on Expanding Services to Drivers

At Lyft, we want to give drivers everything they need to succeed at their goals both on and off the road. We’re furthering that commitment by adding two seasoned executives to the Lyft family. Chris Donus and Rajiv Bhatia join us as Vice President of Express Drive and Head of Driver Product, respectively. Chris and Raj will be at the forefront of improving the driver experience — from the moment a driver downloads the app, to the hospitality they receive at a local hub.

Chris has an impressive career background in the rental car space. Before joining Lyft, he was the President and COO of Silvercar and a member of the founding executive team that completed research on the Silvercar concept and secured the Series A funding to launch the company. Prior to Silvercar, Chris held roles as a Finance Executive at Freescale Semiconductor and the Assistant Treasurer at the Hertz Corporation.

And Raj is an brilliant product leader with experience across the fields of education, gaming, and computer systems design. Prior to joining Lyft, he was the VP of Product at AltSchool where he defined and led the product vision and strategy for the company. He also spent four years in product and general management leadership roles at Zynga and led two $200M+ franchise games with multi-million daily active users.

At Lyft, Chris will work directly under Karim Bousta to lead our efforts in growing and standardizing the Express Drive program, which allows those who don’t own a car to rent vehicles to drive with Lyft. The opportunities with Express Drive are limitless, which is what excites Chris the most about his new role.

And while Chris leads Express Drive, Raj will take on the driver product itself. Raj will report to Ran Makavy, EVP of Rideshare Technology, and lead the management of our driver app, driver support, safety and insurance, and our fleet management products. Raj is excited about working to make a positive impact on drivers’ lives.

We’re thrilled to welcome both Raj and Chris to Lyft as we build better programs and products that help our drivers succeed!
