Dr. Oliver Grünberg, Previously Technical Director of Volkswagen OOO Group RUS and Plant Manager at Kaluga, Russia, is to be Chairman of the Board of Management and Board Member for Technology of Volkswagen Slovakia with effect from January 1, 2019. He succeeds Ralf Sacht, who is to be Head of Toolmaking of the Volkswagen brand in Wolfsburg from January. Grün-berg’s previous function is to be assumed from February 2019 by Stefan Depka, Head of Produc-tion with FAW Volkswagen in Foshan, China.
Dr. Oliver Grünberg (48) studied engineering and holds a doctorate. He has worked for Volkswagen for 23 years. During this time, he has held a number of responsible positions in production including Head of Vehicle Production with Volkswagen Group Russia in Kaluga from 2007, Managing Director and Director Technical Affairs with ŠKODA AUTO India from 2010, plant manager at Nizhny Novgorod from 2012, Head of Brand Planning with ŠKODA AUTO in Mladá Boleslav from 2014 and Technical Director and Deputy Director General of Volkswagen Group Russia in Kaluga from 2017.
Ralf Sacht (55) is a qualified industrial metal working foreman and has worked for Volkswagen for 34 years. He has comprehensive experience in production and is worked in a number of responsible positions for example as head of the pilot hall of Volkswagen Slovakia from 2004, head of start of production for the Volkswagen Group from 2005, head of the Volkswagen pilot hall from 2007 and also head of the pre-series production center from 2010. In 2016, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Management and Board Member for Technology of Volkswagen Slovakia, a. s.
Stefan Depka (44) holds a degree in mechanical engineering and has worked for Volkswagen since 2003. Depka is a production expert and has worked in various responsible positions in production with Volkswagen. From 2013, he was Head of Production with Volkswagen Navarra in Spain, before being appointed Senior Manager Production with FAW Volkswagen in Foshan in mid-2015.
