Communication of the Lead Independent Director of Renault

Boulogne-Billancourt, 14 December 2018 Philippe Lagayette, Lead Independent Director, chairing the Board of Directors of Renault, refutes the press rumors reporting differences of opinion within the Board of Directors at its ordinary meeting of 13 December 2018.

The Board clearly noted in its communication that, based on the elements available, it has decided to maintain the current governance measures as established during its meeting of 20 November 2018. It has not considered the potential succession of Mr. Carlos Ghosn.

In addition, the Board of Directors, contrary to certain press allegations, has congratulated the company’s managers for their engagement in, and their efficient management of, the current situation.
