Among the 7 mega trends that will shape the future of mobility, the second one is Customer behavior : interview with Martha Delgado, former Secretary of the Environment of Mexico City, particularly in charge of the “soft mobility” strategy and former Vice-President of the Local Governments for Sustainability network.
This will be followed by further discussions on the other mega trends: Market Divergence, Sharing, Connectivity, Autonomy and Digital Transformation.
The first trend discussed was Climate Change, with Hervé Le Treut, climatologist (watch the interview again).

Excerpts:

Carlos Tavares: “We believe that one of our missions, if not the most important one, is to allow freedom of movement, which is fundamental to employment, health, maintaining a social network and maintaining a vibrant society. Demographics will accelerate mobility needs and one of the main challenges is to have a 360-degree approach to the mobility needs of the population.”

Martha Delgado: “We must always rely on scientific knowledge. Over the past five years, I have worked to manage a network of 346 cities in 60 countries. For example, 30 years ago, Mexico City set up a metropolitan commission supported by scientists, whose recommendations lead to comprehensive 10-year programmes to maintain the trajectory and ensure a sustainable direction.”
