Baojun Introduces New Logo for Upper-Level Models

2019-01-18

SHANGHAI – SAIC-GM-Wuling today introduced a new logo for its Baojun passenger car brand. The Diamond Badge will be applied to its upper-level models, starting with the Baojun RS-5. The current Baojun badge will continue to be used on other models.

The Diamond Badge carries forward the essence of the current logo, with the artistic and industrial rendering of a horse. Its forged and tempered appearance hints at the ingenuity of Baojun products, while its shape and craftsmanship hint at their advanced technology and intelligent connectivity features.

The new badge is in line with the aesthetics of China’s younger generation of car buyers. It expresses Baojun’s values of “open, creative, free and believe.”

The first product equipped with the Diamond Badge, the Baojun RS-5 SUV, is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2019. Based on Baojun’s new advanced electronic architecture, the RS-5 is equipped with an industry-leading Level-2 driver assistance system and an intelligent connectivity system.

Since its establishment by SAIC-GM-Wuling in 2011, Baojun has been one of the fastest-growing domestic vehicle brands. Nearly 4 million Baojun vehicles have been sold over the past eight years.
