LEÓN, 18 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

León will host a pioneering project in Europe in which unmanned vehicles will be tested on different streets of the city in an initiative promoted by Auvsi España.

Thus, León will host Nertra ‘New era of transport’, as the president of Auvsi Spain, Ángel Alonso, has indicated, after signing with the mayor of León, Antonio Silván, the collaboration protocol to start up the necessary measures for his implantation.

The first tests will be carried out in closed roads and, later, after the marking and adaptation, it will be extended to “real streets”. In principle, the first area chosen is the Vegazana Campus of the University of León.

Alonso has warned that in the future 80% of private cars will disappear “and has pointed out that people” will buy mobility, not cars “, something that their organization defends.

In addition, it has announced that they will offer Auvsi at the international level that they begin to give the distinctive ‘Nertra flag’ to those cities “with the capacity to generate guidelines and standards that serve as a guide to the rest”.

For his part, Antonio Silván described as “great opportunity” that the headquarters of Auvsi Spain is in León and has committed the support to the company in “the beginning of a technological and mobility revolution”.
