Lyft, Banner Health, MCAO and iHeart Media Partner to Provide Safe Rides for Cinco de Mayo

Continuing the successful campaign “Save Lives, Don’t DUI,” the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office is partnering with Lyft, Banner Health, and iHeart Media to offer an incentive not to drink and drive this Cinco de Mayo. “Lyft has been an important partner in our Save Lives Don’t DUI campaign. By offering discounted rides and helping to raise awareness about the dangers of driving impaired, even to the slightest degree, we have worked together to help make our roads safer for our community, especially during holidays and popular celebrations throughout the year,” said Bill Montgomery, the Maricopa County Attorney.

First-time users who download the Lyft app can get $5 off their first 4 rides with the promo code “CINCOPHX.” Those who already have the Lyft app can enter the code “CINCOPHX19” to receive 20% off 2 rides until May 6, 2019, allowing for safe rides throughout the week.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office this Cinco de Mayo to promote Lyft as a safe ride option,” said Drena Kusari, Lyft’s Southwest Regional Manager. “Responsible and reliable transportation options like Lyft can only be beneficial, and we look forward to continuing our work together to increase driving safety and lessen DUIs for all of Arizona. We are urging Phoenicians to download or access the app today. Once you have the app downloaded or open, simply type in the codes so the discount is there when you need it, instead of trying to enter it after a night of celebrating.”
