Bridgestone will invest 36 million in digitizing its plants in Europe, the Middle East and Africa

MADRID, Jul 1 (EUROPA PRESS) –

Tire manufacturer Bridgestone will invest 36 million euros in the digitization of its production operations and the creation of smart factories of the future in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the company said in a statement.

Likewise, this investment will enable the employees of the company to improve their skills in the use of the leading digital technologies in the industry, in a way that will help increase the efficiency of resources and satisfaction in the workplace.

The company said that this economic injection of 36 million euros will be used to strengthen the digitalization of production processes in the regions of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Thus, eight European plants will be transformed, among which is that of Puente San Miguel (Spain).

This smart factory project will transform Bridgestone’s entire manufacturing process, from the production of semi-finished products to energy supply, maintenance, control and industrial planning.
