Aniello Montella and the general secretary of Uilm Dario Basso explained: “This agreement covered the whole Mirafiori front, Agap, central structures, Mirafiori Power Train Plant, presses, mold construction and Mopar. It involves 360 workers and 145 employees and concerns the part of the old January agreement that included 1050 people: 545 had already left, 505 signed today. This procedure was a duty towards workers now close to retirement “.
But, at the same time, the trade unions look beyond and aim to create situations that lead back to full employment: “We would like to be involved in the future prospects for the Turin sites. What we signed today is utle, but these are passive policies “.
