Lyft Hires New Head of Data Privacy

As Lyft continues to grow, so does our world-class executive team! We’re excited to announce that Google’s Chrissie Kawasaki has joined Lyft as Head of Data Privacy.

In her new role, Chrissie will lead efforts to scale Lyft’s privacy program as the company continues its rapid growth, while ensuring that we always take excellent care of our users and the data that they entrust us with.

Chrissie has over 10 years of experience building and scaling privacy programs. She spent the last 13.5 years at Google, where she most recently led a team of privacy engineers and program managers to oversee comprehensive privacy protections for all of Google’s server logs data. At Google, she transformed and scaled their Logs Privacy review program and drove the development of a comprehensive company-wide Data Stewardship program. Chrissie is a licensed attorney in California and holds several IAPP privacy certifications.

Chrissie will join a team of 13 data privacy engineers and privacy analysts, led by EVP of Engineering Eisar Lipkovitz. This team works in close step with our privacy legal function, led by Brian Emeott, our newly promoted Director of Privacy, Legal.

We’re excited to have two dedicated privacy professionals who care so deeply about protecting users!
