MADRID, 9 Jan. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The ‘online’ platform of car sales Quadis, Webycar, reached a turnover of 3.7 million euros since its launch in Spain in July 2017 and after selling more than 300 vehicles both used and pre-owned and ‘kilometer zero’ , according to the company in a statement.

The company’s CEO, Josep Guasch, said the company has improved its forecast for last year and expects to sell 750 units in 2018, more than twice the commercial volume recorded in the previous year.

Given these figures, the company expects an approximate turnover of 9 million euros for 2018, driven by the “good performance” of the vehicle sales market.

Throughout these six months, Webycar sold vehicles from 40 different brands. The most popular firms were Nissan, Citroën, Renault, Seat and Merdeces-Benz.

For its part, the most commercialized model was the Nissan Qashaqi, which accounted for 3.2% of the total sales of the entity. “This confirms the rise of SUVs and the popularity of SUVs in segment C, which Qashqai pioneered,” said Guasch.

Behind the Renault Mégane, with 3.1% of total sales; the Seat Ibiza, with 2.8%; the Citroën C4, with 2.7%, and the Opel Astra, with 2.6%.

Regarding the origin of the buyers, Webycar sent the vehicles during the past year to communities such as Catalonia, Andalusia, Galicia or the Valencian Community, or delivered them to the facilities of the company of the Free Zone and Sant Boi de Llobregat, in Barcelona.

64% of the users who accessed the Webycar website in 2017 did so through the ‘smartphone’, 26% through the computer and 10% through the tablet.
