Rüsselsheim. Personnel changes in the Supervisory Board of Opel Automobile GmbH: Effective December 2, 2019 Xavier Chéreau, Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Transformation Division Groupe PSA, is the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board. He has been a member of the board since 2017 and succeeds Carlos Tavares, Chairman of the Managing Board of Groupe PSA.
“Opel has done a great job under CEO Michael Lohscheller and his team over the past two and a half years to make Opel an integral part of Groupe PSA. I am sure that Michael, together with Xavier at the head of the Supervisory Board, will ensure a sustainable and successful future for Opel despite a difficult market environment,” said Carlos Tavares. Lohscheller has been a member of the four-member Managing Board of Groupe PSA since September 1, 2019 – further proof of the representation of Opel at the core of the Group´s top management.
