Flensburg, March 2, 2018. 261,749 Passenger cars ( car ) were newly registered in February. That was +7.4 percent more than in the same month last year. The share of commercial approvals was 63.1 percent (+ 0.8%). Private registrations increased by + 21.3 percent.

Except for Audi (-3.6%) and BMW (-0.7%) recorded the German Brands Growth in Smart (+ 35.8%) and VW (+12.4%) were double digits. The largest share of the registrations claimed the brand VW (18.3%).

For the import brands, the largest new vehicle registrations accounted for Skoda (6.3% / + 17.8%), Renault (3.8% / + 12.2%) and Hyundai (3.0% / + 9.7%). The most significant increase in registration was shown by the statistics for vehicles of the brand DS with +128.6 percent off. Jaguar (-23.8%), Alfa Romeo (-23.7%), Lexus (-23.6%) and Subaru (-22.3%) and Nissan (-21.4%) were down more than 20% %).
