In January 2020, PEUGEOT posted an exceptional performance with a market share of 21.3%, or + 2.4 points compared to the previous year, thus occupying first place among manufacturers on the VP + LCV markets which fell by – 12.7%.
The brand is also the leader in sales to individuals.
The Peugeot brand begins the year 2020 with an order portfolio high at a level never reached in its history.
This performance is due to the success of the launches of the new PEUGEOT 208 and PEUGEOT 2008, which have met with remarkable customer satisfaction. The success of the electric versions also contributed to the excellent performance of January 2020. In the same month, the PEUGEOT 208 was the best-selling car in France and the e-208 represented 26% of the mix.
Another performance, on the LCV market, PEUGEOT continued to grow with a gain of 1.3 points in market share, which stood at 19.5%.
PEUGEOT displays two vehicles in the top five of the best-selling passenger cars in France:
– The PEUGEOT 208 is in the lead with a market share of 7%.
– The PEUGEOT 3008 is in 3rd place with a market share of 3.9%
Five vehicles are leaders in their segment:
– PEUGEOT 208 in segment B with 7% market share
– The PEUGEOT 308 with a market share of 2.6% in the C segment
– The PEUGEOT 3008 with a market share of 3.9% in the C-SUV segment,
– PEUGEOT 2008 in the B-SUV segment with a market share of 2.9%,
– The PEUGEOT 508, with a market share of 0.9%, in the family segment of the D segment.
In a passenger car market down 13.4%, PEUGEOT posted a market share of 21.8%, or + 2.7 points compared to the same period of the previous year.
In an LCV market of – 9.3%, PEUGEOT is up 1.4 points compared to 2019 with a market share of 19.5%.
In a VP + LCV market down – 12.7%, PEUGEOT gained 2.4 points compared to 2019 with a market share of 21.3%.
