Applications Engineer (San Jose, CA): Recogni deploys its technology through customized AI processing solutions for a variety of ADAS and autonomous mobility customers worldwide, and the company is seeking a talented Applications Engineer to join its Customer Applications Engineering team.
In this role, you’ll be involved in the entire development process, starting with the initial product evaluation and culminating in final production and deployment. You’ll also provide technical training to customers, partners, and field sales teams, which may require domestic and international travel. Additionally, you’ll create technical documentation, such as white papers, tutorials, and notes to help customers properly adopt their tailored software solution.
Preferred qualifications include a strong grasp of C++ and Python, as well as experience with popular machine learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Caffe, and various automotive safety standards. Recogni is also looking for candidates with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering, with at least seven years of relevant industry experience. Finally, this customer-facing role requires superior communication and presentation skills and an aptitude to excel in a dynamic startup environment.
Senior Embedded Software Engineer (San Jose, CA): Recogni’s technology relies on a convolutional neural network ASIC to process an AV’s complex visual and sensory data. In this senior-level role, you’ll serve as a principal technical contributor for this neural network, in addition to contributing to other firmware and software elements, such as the company’s perception module for ADAS systems.
You’ll oversee all aspects of the software and firmware development process, from collaborating with hardware engineers designing ASICs to debugging software, writing test specifications, and determining software requirement specifications, among other duties. As such, this role requires engineering expertise in a variety of areas, including experience with embedded development IDEs, debuggers, tool-chains, and cross-compilation methodologies; low-level RTOSes; and multiprocessor-based embedded systems and associated software testing systems.
